Takuma Onodera had his first recital in Imola, Italy, in 2018. He has performed at Carnegie Hall in June 2019, at the Yamaha Hall in Tokyo and in Nagoya in 2019. Other recitals are scheduled in Sapporo, Fukuoka and Osaka this year. He has been awarded at the 2nd Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Russia, 2017, Finalist); the 5th Imola Piano Awards Competition (Italy, 2016, 1st Prize); the 71st Student Music Competition of Japan (Japan, 2017, 1st prize, Audience Award, Nomura Award, Aiko Iguchi Award, Mainichi Elementary school newspaper Award, Kampo Life insurance Award and ANA Award); the 2nd Steinway Competition in Japan (Japan, 2014, 1st Prize ); and the 7th Osaka international Music Competition (Japan, 2014, 2nd Prize).
