SOPHIA PILEGGI

An accomplished pianist, pedagogue, and collaborator, Sophia Pileggi began her piano studies at the age of 9 with Janice Morris Puckett. Ms. Pileggi continued her music education at The Catholic University of America under the tutelage of Dr. Nikita Fitenko and with Dr. Ivo Kaltchev. Later, Ms. Pileggi attended the University of Miami, Frost School of Music to complete an Artist Diploma under Prof. Santiago Rodriguez. She has performed in three continents and been the recipient of various performance, teaching, and service awards. Most recently, Ms. Pileggi was nominated a Laureate in the 2019 International Cochran Competition and a First Prize Winner in the Golden Classical Music Award. Ms. Pileggi’s upcoming performance engagements include a Performance Residency in Warsaw, Poland in Fall of 2020.
