Irmela Wagner Started to study piano in 1989. From 1993 to 2002 she has attended the Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium Würzburg specializing in music education. From 2000 to 2002 she received piano lessons from pianist Eva Smirnova, who studied with Nathan Perelman at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and won an honorary diploma at the Chopin Competition 1965. From 2002 to 2013 she studied Philosophy and Literature at the University of Würzburg, and from 2005 to 2013 Philosophy, Literature, and Musicology at the University of Heidelberg. In 2013 she Graduated (M.A.) in Philosophy and German Literature from the University of Heidelberg. During the A. Y. 2015-2016 she attended a course in “Contemporary Piano Playling“ at the Bundesakademie für musikalische Jugendbildung (State-Academy for musical Youth-Education) in Trossingen. Currently, she is self-employed pianist and piano teacher who also writes about Language and Philosophy of Music.
