HUGO ALONSO LLANOS CAMPOS

Hugo Alonso Llanos Campos was born in Rancagua, Chile. His passion for music arose at an early age through the Folklore of his native Chile. He began then playing the piano with 7 years old. He studied at the Universidad Mayor (Santiago, Chile) with Victoria Foust and also, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in 2018 at MUK – Music and Arts University of Vienna, he began a Master’s degree with Klaus Sticken. From 2006 he has been a laureate in several competitions and festivals, such as International Piano Competition “Claudio Arrau” (Chile), Texas International Piano Festival (USA), “Musica Mundi” Chamber Music Festival (Belgium), International ÖJAB Music Competition (Austria), International OSAKA Music Competition (Japan), International Piano Competition “Delia Steinberg” (Spain). He released his first solo album “Un Corazón al fin del Mundo” in 2017. As a chamber musician he performs regularly with Trio Mosaik, Trio Terranova, Duo Gossner – Llanos Campos and Duo Selvaggio.
