Hitoshi Ikehira earned a Bachelor of Music degree in classical Piano performance from the Ueno Gakuen University, where he studied with Takahiro Hoshino, Shino Yamazaki as a Scholarship Students. Currently, he studies at the Liszt Academy of Music in the class of Nádor György and Borbély László. He has won numerous awards including the 1st Prize at the 19th Osaka International Piano Competition, the third prize at the 15th Suganami Piano Competition, and the Bronze Medal at the 29th Aichi Piano Competition, among others. He has performed in so many places around the world including Ishibashi Memorial Hall (Tokyo, Japan), Steinway Salon Tokyo Matsuo Hall (Tokyo, Japan), Takagi Klavier Shoto Salon (Tokyo, Japan), Kagachou Hall (Tokyo, Japan), Shirakawa Hall (Nagoya, Japan) Music Space Kling Klang (Nagoya, Japan), Aula Concert Hall (Halle, Germany), and so on. He has performed Liszt Piano Concerto No.2 with the Ueno Gakuen University Orchestra and Japanese famous Conductor Shimono Tatsuya.
