Edward Callahan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in piano. At the age of 4, he began taking lessons, learning music history, composition, and theory. Callahan won competitions in the Michigan Teachers Association, NAACP Act- So Competition and many more. Callahan studied at Western Michigan University until moving to New York City where he finished his degree at Nyack College with a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Performance Magna Cum Laude. Callahan made his Lincoln Center Debut in 2018 and also toured Italy as pianist for the Nyack Choir “Purpose”. In 2019 Callahan released his debut album “The Minor Keys”, with works by Chopin and Schubert. The album debuted at #1 on the US iTunes Classical Charts and #9 on Billboard Traditional Classical Albums. Callahan was accepted into the 2020 Miami Classical Music Festival and is scheduled to headline his first solo concerts at the end of the year.
