TAMARA BENITEZ

Tamara Benitez was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She began her piano studies with Professor Manuel Massone at the Alberto Ginastera Conservatory. She received a full scholarship to study at Rowan University under the guidance of Professor Veda Zuponcic and a full scholarship and teaching assistant position at University of Miami to study with Evelyne Brancart and Santiago Rodriguez. She has received prizes in XIV Piano Competition in Santa Fe, International Piano Competition “Teachers del Norte Pianists Del Sur”, Soloist Competition at Rowan University, Prima Artists Competition, Piano Competition “ Musica Viva”, MTNA 2012-2013, NJMTA Young Artist Piano Competition, IX International Piano Competition “Pau Casals”. She has been awarded scholarships and awards such as Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Hammel scholarships, and Steinway award- and has been sponsored by US Embassy and Cancillería Argentina.
Ms. Benitez has performed with Argentine National Symphony orchestra and Rowan University Orchestra. She participated in the perfomance of the complete piano work by Alberto Ginastera for the centenary of his birth in NYC and the performance of his complete piano sonatas in Argentina.
She has performed piano solo recitals, chamber music recitals, concertos throughout Argentina, Uruguay and the United States.
Miss Benitez has developed an intense activity as an accompanist pianist. She has been a collaborative pianist at San Justo Women’s Chorus, Opera Company Fundamus, MTNA Competition, Women’s Chorus at Rowan University Vocal studio at Rowan University Greater South Jersey Chorus, Hancocks Bridge United Methodist Church, Quinton United Methodist Church, Broadway Musical Productions at Rowan University and Broadway Theater in Pitman, Northern Lights Music Festival, Minnesota, Men’s Chorus at Rowan University, Frost School of Music, Musica Quantica Chamber Chorus, Lirica Lado B, Orchestra Conducting Seminar at Centro Cultural Kirchner with National Symphony Orchestra and Patagonia Orchestra, Orchestra Conducting Seminar at National Univerity of Arts, Argentina, First Summer Camp for Children at Teatro Colon, South American Bach Festival, Miss Benitez is currently an accompanist pianist at Argentinean National University of Arts and the Opera company Juventus Lyrica. She is also finishing her masters studies in opera coaching at Teatro Colón Institute in Argentina. Miss Benitez graduated with honors from Rowan University and holds a MM from University of Miami.
