Born in 2004 in Moscow, Marta Papoian lives in Poland, Warsaw. She studies piano, organ, harpsichord and viola. She has won: the 2nd prize at the Livorno Piano Competition (Italy); the 2nd prize and the Special Chopin Award at the Riga International Piano Competition; the 1st prize at “Kaunas Sonorum” (Luthuania); the 1st prize and the Special Chopin Award at “Islamey” (Moscow); the 3rd prize at “Chopin for the Youngest” (Antonin, Poland); the Diploma and three special awards at The International Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth (Szafarnia, Poland); the 1st prize at “Allegretto Grazioso” (Moscow); the 1st prize at “Viva Music” (Moscow); the first prize at the Maria Gambarian Piano Competition (Moscow); the 1st prize at the Conero Piano Competition (Recanati, Italy); and the 1st prize and the Special Chopin Award at the Borjomi Piano Competition (Georgia). She has performed in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, in Żelazowa Wola, Chopin’s hometown, and in the Chopin Center in Shafarnia.
